The Lauener Prize for Up-and-Coming Philosophers 2018 has been awarded to Professor Finnur Dellsén. Dellsén did his doctorate at UNC Chapel Hill in 2014 and teaches today as an associate professor of philosophy at Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences. Over the past years, he has been publishing a series of remarkable articles, mainly on Philosophy of Science (concerning i. a. disagreement in science, scientific understanding, scientific progress) and Epistemology (regarding e.g. epistemic autonomy or abductive inference to the best explanation).
